The Pirate football team of 2023 had some special guests for the football game featuring Summerland last Friday, Oct. 6 - teammates of the the 1973 Pirate football team were in attendance to cheer on the younger Pirates with their win. The 1973 team went 10-0 during their season, and various members spent time at the school and in the community before accepting their Championship trophy and giving remarks at the foottball game.
The recently completed “Dedication Monument” heralding the history and future of Plainview’s volunteer fire and rescue and Plainview veterans will be dedicated with a special ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the site. For more details, sign up to the Plainview News today.

New construction was started last week at the “Pride Field” location to replace the grandstands structure at the Legion fields.
