285: Xander Albin pinned Grim of Central Valley; and lost 5-0 to Knoerzer of Hi-Line.
Albin will wrestle tomorrow in the consolation matches on Friday.

220: Hayven Stewart lost by pin to Kvanvig of Mullen.
Stewart will wrestle on Friday in the consolations.

The Plainview Pirate Wrestling team took the mat in Wakefield last Saturday for the team’s last regular season tournament, winning the tournament in grand fashion to cap their year.

A number of Plainview High School students participated in University of Nebraska -Kearney Honor Band and Choir on Monday in Kearney. Weston Hoffman, Marlena Curtiss, Kyler Mosel, Sean Taylor, and Jordan Mosel traveled to Kearney with instructor Brittani Beegle for performances held Monday evening on the UNK campus.

The Plainview Pirate junior high basketball boys’ team took first-place at the Bloomfield tournament last Saturday. Those playing included, front row (l to r): Colt Hoffman, Jaxon Jelinek, Blake Foster, Braedon Kment, Jameson Dobler; and back row, Coach Jordan Leake, Ben Calitz, Wyatt Schroth, Kohen Lingenfelter, Bastion Curtiss, Cody Hoffman and Coach Taylor Oestreich. The Pirates defeated Bloomfield in the first round, 37-10, and went on to defeat Wynot in the Championship game, 35-28.
